editing of our video

Today's lesson, we edited our video and used different effects to make the video more interesting for our viewers so it will be more enjoyable. At first we found it hard to get the lip sinking all in time with the actual tune but after a while of being patient, all of it is in time along with our different effects such as, wipes, fades etc. It took us most of the lesson to finish all of the editing but we are happy with the end result.

Locations

These are pictures of the five locations in which we plan to film out video.

storyboard and planning

Planning for video

In this lesson we have been planning where we are going to be filming our 1 minute clip of holiday. We have started to come up with ideas of different locations and also have different camera angles we are going to experiment with. We are also starting to storyboard our ideas and all this is in preparation for when we are going to film which is going to be tomorrow. The video we are preparing is going to be a performance/narrative video as Will is going to be lip sinking some of the lyrics. In this type of video, we are hoping to make it looked really chilled out but good fun at the same time as that is what everybody wants when they go away on 'holiday'. We are trying to use a range of different camera shots and angles to make the video look as good as possible and enjoyable to watch for our audience which could be any age. We are trying to get the lip sinking as in time as we can otherwise the video will look very tacky and boring to watch. Hopefully, the visuals that we create at our locations will fit in well with the lyrics and the tune that we will be working with. All the time, the camera will be focused on the person that will be lip sinking and when he is not, making sure that the pictures we have fit in well. We are going to make sure that the character that is lip sinking, is dressed right for the videos genre and beat and that he looks happy and upbeat to be making the video otherwise it makes the video look bland and boring for the audience when they're watching.

Dizzee Rascal-Holiday

We have chosen to do Dizzee Rascal holiday for our 1 minute practice clip. In this clip we will practice lip syncing and other techniques we will use in our real video sequence.

Group 37 evaluation

We analysed this video because we thought that this group were very unpredictable and mixed all the camera shots and effects to great use through out the video. The camera was always focused on the one character and was focusing mainly on his emotions. we get the feeling in this video that the character is drunk because of the fact the camera is all over the place and also that he is staggering all over the place. The use of the effects and camera work helped us to understand the fact he was drunk and helped us understand the storyline a lot easier.

The use of the slow motion effect when he is walking through town gives us an idea of how quickly his whole body would be functioning.
