Planning for video
In this lesson we have been planning where we are going to be filming our 1 minute clip of holiday. We have started to come up with ideas of different locations and also have different camera angles we are going to experiment with. We are also starting to storyboard our ideas and all this is in preparation for when we are going to film which is going to be tomorrow. The video we are preparing is going to be a performance/narrative video as Will is going to be lip sinking some of the lyrics. In this type of video, we are hoping to make it looked really chilled out but good fun at the same time as that is what everybody wants when they go away on 'holiday'. We are trying to use a range of different camera shots and angles to make the video look as good as possible and enjoyable to watch for our audience which could be any age. We are trying to get the lip sinking as in time as we can otherwise the video will look very tacky and boring to watch. Hopefully, the visuals that we create at our locations will fit in well with the lyrics and the tune that we will be working with. All the time, the camera will be focused on the person that will be lip sinking and when he is not, making sure that the pictures we have fit in well. We are going to make sure that the character that is lip sinking, is dressed right for the videos genre and beat and that he looks happy and upbeat to be making the video otherwise it makes the video look bland and boring for the audience when they're watching.
